A little bit about our family farm:

We’ve always focused on soil health, creating pollinator habitat, maximizing photosynthesis and experimenting with techniques to help nurture the soil life. We are Certified Organic through CCOF and therefore never use herbicides, pesticides, or synthetic fertilizers.

Our goal is always to grow good honest food while giving back to the land and our neighbors. We donate produce to the 530 Food Rescue Coalition every week.

We also make time to bring local kids/classes out to the farm to see where their food comes from, get dirty and help nurture their relationship with our lovely Mother Earth. We strive to contribute to our community in all the ways we can. More info on community events as we develop our farm!

Why the Friend of The Farm Card is a vital part of our business:

The winter and spring months are the most financially stressful times(especially when you’re starting a new farm from the ground up) of the season for farmers because it is when we are having to spend the most capital while bringing in the least. We purchase compost, potting soil, seeds, tools, amendments, irrigation supplies, remay, netting, T-posts, produce boxes, etc. during this time. We also have payroll, rent for the farm land, water and power bills, costs to fix tools and tractor implements. Not only this, but since the pandemic began costs on just about all of our farm supplies have gone up an unbelievable amount. The price of radishes at the farmers market has not gone up. It’s a hard hit to farmers everywhere.

We farm because we absolutely love it. Even through the toughest trials and financial hardships we’ve never given up and we never plan to, it’s our calling and our passion. That being said, The Friend of The Farm program has been the light at the end of the tunnel for us, year after year. Our customers love it because of its convenience and we love it because it keeps us afloat when we need the extra support.
