Supporting Ecosystems
Sure we’re obsessed with growing good food but we’re equally dedicated to soil health, creating pollinator habitat, maximizing photosynthesis and experimenting with techniques to help nurture the soil life.
Throughout our 4 acre farm we have barn owl, blue bird & native bee boxes. Along the perimeter of the farm we have proudly planted over 800 native-plants to keep our wild friends happy, providing shelter and food. We delight in a toad, we wave good morning to our fox friends who help catch gophers and we side step around sun-basking snakes in the daikon.
We never use herbicides, pesticides, or synthetic fertilizers. Yuck! Our farm is CCOF/USDA Certified Organic with the additional add-on label from the REAL ORGANIC PROJECT.
The Goods
We grow a diverse array of vegetables, cut flowers, herbs and fruit. From scallions & garlic to lots of heirloom tomatoes, salad mix to strawberries to marigolds, we love growing it all! We grow and ship organic seed garlic for farmers and gardeners and offer added-value products such as fermented hot sauce, tomato sauce, & herbal products.
Find our produce at the Chico Certified Market on Saturday, Sacramento Midtown market on Saturday, our CSA program and natural food stores and farm-to-table restaurants in Grass Valley, Truckee & Chico.
